B-Sides

B-Sides has been hiding in the background of the Edinburgh music seen for a long time, being involved in the re-vamp of The Venue Nightclub and host of too many guests to mention over a period of two years.   Favourites would be Rahzel, Task Force, Jazzy Jeff, Roots Manuva and LTJ Bukem to name but a few, maybe Shaun Ryder for comedy value!!

Progressing into promoting he began one of the most memorable hip-hop and funk nights "JUMP" with live funk band Liquid Sounds, Deejay's and guests such as Phi Life Cypher(The Gorillaz), Mr Thing and Killa Kela.

B-Sides has now moved into promoting full time and Deejing a little more often, but trying not to saturate himself, as he believes playing too often takes away the joy of deejaying.  

You can find B-Sides every week at "GHETTO FABULOUS"(See weekly) in Cabaret Voltaire and one off's here and there, next major event will be DJ Qbert at the Liquid Room.   See Monthly.

In terms of music genre, his style is mainly Hip-Hop but is heavily influenced by Rock, Inde and Reggae among others so you never know what your gonna hear, but you can be sure it will always be pleasurable listening. For a complete mash up of everything in the collection, you can see him every Wednesday at the outhouse bar on broughton St, with Stir Fried.

Some favourite tunes include Lionel Ritchie 'All Night Long', The Cure 'Close to me' and The Pixies, all of them! the list could be endless.....
